This Privacy Policy explains how GamesDaily collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our site. We collect limited data to improve your experience and measure site performance. We do not require account registration to browse content.

1. What Information We Collect

You can browse GamesDaily without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use Google OAuth to verify your identity. We only request the openid email profile scope, which gives us your email, name, and profile avatar URL. We do not request or access your contacts, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, YouTube data, or location information.

When you use account features, we also store your likes, watchlist, and game detail page browse history so you can access them across sessions. We may collect anonymous usage data through analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, including page views, device type, and approximate location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited data we collect to maintain your account, power your likes and watchlist, record game detail pages you have visited, improve the site, analyze traffic, provide affiliate links, and respond to your inquiries. The Google access token received during login is used only to retrieve your profile information and is not stored permanently.

3. Session Cookies

When you sign in, we set a session cookie named gd_session to keep you authenticated. It is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and valid for 7 days (it is automatically refreshed while you remain active). During the OAuth login flow we also set a temporary cookie named gd_oauth_pkce that bundles the OAuth state and PKCE verifier. It expires after 10 minutes and is deleted after the callback.

4. Data Retention

Your likes, watchlist, and browse history are kept until you delete them individually, clear them in your profile, or delete your account. If you delete your account, all personally identifiable data, including likes, watchlist, and browse history, is removed within 30 days. Anonymized or aggregated analytics may be retained longer, but they are no longer linked to you.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if essential cookies are blocked. You can delete individual likes, watchlist entries, or browse history records from your profile page.

You have the right to export or delete your personal data. To request an export of your account data (profile, likes, watchlist, and browse history) or to request account deletion, email us at support@gamesdaily.online with the subject line “Data Export / Deletion Request.” We will respond within 15 business days.
